Regions of the heavens [55:33]

Qur’an:

“O you multitude of the hidden ones (Jinn) and the people, if you are able, to step out of the regions of the heavens and the earth, then step out! You do not step out, except with an authorization.” [Ar-Rahman 55:33]

يا معشر الجن والإنس إن استطعتم أن تنفذوا من أقطار السماوات والأرض فانفذوا لا تنفذون إلا بسلطان

Sunnah:

Amr Ibn Abi Shaibah reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “When it appears for God, that He separates His creation from each other and He gathers them, when it is unavoidable, then He orders a caller to call, whereupon the people and the hidden (Jinn) gather faster than the blink of an eye. Then He dismisses the sky of this world (Dunya), whereupon it descends and is behind the people, and He dismisses the second sky, whereupon it descends and presses on the one who preceded it and when the inhabitants of the sky of this world (Dunya) saw it, they say: ﴾Our Lord has arrived.﴿ They say: ﴾No. ﴿ While He is arriving, by which is meant His command (89:22), until each heaven descends and each one of them is behind the other, pressing on the one who preceded it:﴾Then the command of God and the angels come in shadows from clouds and the matter is decided and to God all matters return.﴿ (2:210) Then God commands a caller to cry out: ﴾O you multitude of the hidden ones (Jinn) and the people, if you are able, to step out of the regions of the heavens and the earth, then step out! You do not step out except with an authorization.﴿” (55:33)Thereupon he cried until he calmed down and I said: “May God sacrifice my life to you, O father of Ja’far, then where are the Messenger of God (s.) and Commander of the Believers (a.) and their followers?” He said: “The Messenger (s.) and Ali (a.) and their followers are standing on dunes of the most fragrant musk, on the pulpits of light. The people will be sad, but they will be not sad and the people will be frightened, but they will be not frightened.” Then he read the verse: ﴾Whoever came in with the good, is better than them and they are safe from the terror on that day (27:89), for the good is the closeness (Wilayah) to Ali.﴿ Then He said: “The greatest terror will not sadden them and the angels will receive them: ﴾This is your day for which you were promised.﴿ (21:103) By His saying ﴾with an authorization﴿ (55:33) is meant ﴾with a proof (Hujjah).﴿” [Al-Burhan of Al-Bahrani, Volume 7 page 392 Hadith 1].

علي بن إبراهيم، قال: حدثني أبي، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن منصور بن يونس، عن عمرو ابن أبي شيبة، عن أبي جعفر عليه السلام قال سمعته يقول ابتداء منه: إن لله إذا بدا له أن يبين خلقه و يجمعهم لما لا بد منه، أمر مناديا ينادي، فيجتمع الإنس و الجن في أسرع من طرفة عين، ثم أذن لسماء الدنيا فتنزل، و كان من وراء الناس، و أذن للسماء الثانية فتنزل، و هي ضعف التي تليها، فإذا رآها أهل السماء الدنيا، قالوا: جاء ربنا . قالوا: لا وهو آت يعني أمره حتى تنزل كل سماء تكون واحدة منها من وراء الاخرى، و هي ضعف التي تليها، ثم يأتي أمر الله في ظلل من الغمام و الملائكة و قضي الأمر و إلى الله ترجع الأمور، ثم يأمر الله مناديا ينادي: يا معشر ٱلجن وٱلإنس إن ٱستطعتم أن تنفذوا من أقطار ٱلسموت وٱلأرض فٱنفذوا لا تنفذون إلا بسلطان قال: و بكى عليه السلام حتى إذا سكت، قلت: جعلني الله فداك، يا أبا جعفر، و أين رسول الله صلى الله عليه و آله و أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام و شيعته فقال أبو جعفر عليه السلام: رسول الله صلى الله عليه و آله و علي عليه السلام و شيعته على كثبان من المسك الأذفر، على منابر من نور، يحزن الناس و لا يحزنون، و يفزع الناس و لا يفزعون ثم تلا هذه الآية من جآء بٱلحسنة فله خير منها وهم من فزع يومئذ آمنون فالحسنة ولاية علي عليه السلام ثم قال: لا يحزنهم ٱلفزع ٱلأكبر وتتلقاهم ٱلملائكة هذا يومكم ٱلذي كنتم توعدون قوله تعالى: بسلطان أي بحجة
