Abu Bakr lies about the Prophet Muhammad
Walid Ibn Jumai’ reported that Abu t-Tufail said: “When the Messenger of God (s.) died, Fatimah (a.) sent to Abu Bakr: “Do you inherit from the Messenger (s.) or does his family?” He said: “No, but his family.” She said: “Where is the portion of the Messenger?” Abu Bakr said: “I heard the messenger say: “If Allah gives to a prophet a food to eat, and lets him die thereupon, He arranges it for those who rise after him.” So i was of the opinion that i should distribute it to the Muslims.” She said: “You know best what you heard from the Messenger.” Shu’aib Al-Arna’ut writes: “The chain of transmission of this is good (Hasan) and its transmitters are trustworthy (Thiqah). Except for Al-Walid Ibn Jumai’ they are the transmitters of the two scholars (Al-Bukhari and Muslim).” [Al-Musnad of Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Volume 1 Page 191 – 192 Hadith 14]
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد بن أبي شيبة، وسمعت من عبد الله بن أبي شيبة، قال: حدثنا محمد بن فضيل، عن الوليد بن جميع، عن أبي الطفيل، قال: لما قبض رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أرسلت فاطمة إلى أبي بكر: أنت ورثت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، أم أهله؟ قال: فقال: لا، بل أهله، قالت: فأين سهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قال: فقال أبو بكر: إني سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: إن الله عز وجل، إذا أطعم نبيا طعمة، ثم قبضه جعله للذي يقوم من بعده فرأيت أن أرده على المسلمين، قالت: فأنت، وما سمعت من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، أعلم قال شعيب الأرنؤوط: إسناده حسن رجاله ثقات رجال الشيخين (البخاري ومسلم) غير الوليد بن جُميع
Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani writes: “The statement of Abu Bakr: “But his family.” “This is against the authentic tradition that the Prophet (s) does not inherit.” [Fath-ul-Bari, Volume 6 page 233]
قال ابن حجر العسقلاني: وهي قول أبي بكر بل أهله فإنه معارض للحديث الصحيح أن النبي لا يورث
Urwah Ibnu z-Zubair reported that Aishah said: “Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger (a.), after his death, asked Abu Bakr to hand over to her her inheritance what the Messenger (s.) had left her and what God had granted him. Therefore Abu Bakr said: “The Messenger (s.) said: “We Prophets do not inherit. What we leave behind are alms.” Therefore Fatimah (a.) became angry and she distanced herself from Abu Bakr and maintained her distance until her death and she died six months after the death of the Messenger (s.).” [Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith 2926]
حدثنا عبد العزيز بن عبد الله حدثنا إبراهيم بن سعد عن صالح عن ابن شهاب قال أخبرني عروة بن الزبير أن عائشة أم المؤمنين رضي الله عنها أخبرته أن فاطمة عليها السلام ابنة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سألت أبا بكر الصديق بعد وفاة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يقسم لها ميراثها مما ترك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مما أفاء الله عليه فقال لها أبو بكر إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال لا نورث ما تركنا صدقة فغضبت فاطمة بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فهجرت أبا بكر فلم تزل مهاجرته حتى توفيت وعاشت بعد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ستة أشهر
Malik Ibn Aws reported that Umar Ibnu l-Khattab said: “When the Messenger of God (s.) died, Abu Bakr said: “I am the vicegerent of the Messenger of God. You came, demanding your inheritance from the son of your brother, and the latter demanded the inheritance of his wife from her father, but Abu Bakr said: “The Messenger (s.) said: “We do not inherit. What we leave behind is alms.” Therefore, you have found him to be a liar, a sinner, a traitor and an impostor.” [Sahih Muslim, Volume 2 Hadith 1757]
وحدثني عبد الله بن محمد بن أسماء الضبعي حدثنا جويرية عن مالك عن الزهري عن مالك بن أوس عن عمر بن الخطاب قال: فلما توفي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال أبو بكر أنا ولي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فجئتما تطلب ميراثك من ابن أخيك ويطلب هذا ميراث امرأته من أبيها فقال أبو بكر قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ما نورث ما تركناه صدقة فرأيتماه كاذبا آثما غادرا خائنا
Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a.) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “Do not lie about me, for he who lies about me dwells in fire!” [Sahih Muslim, Volume 1 Page 5]
